Dr. Ahmed joined the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics on June 10, 2019 as Statistical Consultant and Assistant Professor. Ahmed earned his B.S. in Applied Statistics and Demography at Gezira University, Sudan, his M.S. in Statistics from Virginia Commonwealth University and his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Virginia Commonwealth University. Ahmed contributed to research studies in various areas, including infectious diseases, cancer, mental health disorders, and other mainstream health issues. His research collaboration has led to more than 100 scientific publications in refereed journals, and he plans to continue to publish.
