Adjunct Faculty, MPH Program at UConn Health
After graduation from medical school in the University of Gezira, Sudan, I worked as a medical officer in Sudan before joining the ministry of health in Oman to work as a Physician for 8 years. I was a practicing Physician then worked as the Head of planning section in The Regional Directorate of Health in Musandam region of Oman. Then I moved with my family to the USA in 2010, where I had my Master Degree in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Connecticut. I am now a reasearcher in the Department of Community Medicine & Health Care at UConn Health. I advocate for the wellbeing of recent migrants to the US, thus I am involved in a non-profit that focuses on the health, education and social wellbeing of Sudabese American residents of Connecticut.
