Professor at JSU

Dr. Mahmoud A. Manzoul is currently serving as Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Engineering at Jackson State University (JSU). Jackson State University is a Historically Black College/University (HBCU) located in Jackson, Mississippi serving minority students. Dr. Manzoul joined JSU in 2001 as the founding Chair of the Computer Engineering Department under the newly established School of Engineering. Prior to joining Jackson State, he served on the faculty of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale from 1985 until 2001. He utilized his sabbatical leave and his leave of absences to teach and perform research at the American University of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates University. He served as the Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering while at the United Arab Emirates University in the academic year 1997/1998.
